Andrés Ramón Rodríguez Gómez
Bio
With over 16 years of experience in the legal field, Andres focus his practice in representing and advising developers, lenders, and investors in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including oil and gas, mining, solar, wind, and hydrogen projects. He has also provided legal counsel to clients in other industries such as transportation, pharmaceuticals, and food production services
Andres has worked in Colombia with some of the country’s most prestigious law firms, as well as in New York as an international associate at Chadbourne & Parke (now Norton Rose Fulbright). He also spent over five years at Ecopetrol, gaining significant experience as in house counsel. Additionally, his expertise includes handling transactions in other jurisdiction like Brazil, Chile, the United States, Peru, and Singapore.
Currently, Andres is also a postgraduate law professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, where he teaches the "International Contracts" module. He has been invited as a panelist at various events focusing on project structuring and investment.

(transmisora de energía más grande de Colombia, con presencia en LATAM), mediante la firma de un contrato interadministrativo con el Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público. Esta, fue transacción más grande en Colombia para el 2021 por un valor de 14’236.814.025.000 de pesos colombianos (aprox. USD4 billones). La transacción fue nominada al Premio de la Transacción del Año de Latin Lawyer (2021).

Asesoró a Ecopetrol S.A. (NYSE: EC) en la incorporación de dos trading companies: una en Singapur, otra en EE.UU.

Asesoró a Ecopetrol S.A. (NYSE: EC) en la negociación junto con Occidental Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: OXY) un joint venture para el desarrollo de yacimientos no convencionales en aproximadamente 97,000 acres de Permian Basin en el Estado de Texas, EE.UU.

Asesoró a Ecopetrol S.A., (NYSE: EC)en la enajenación del 50% de la participación accionaria de Ecopetrol en el Grupo OIG, en el Perú.

Asesoró a EPM en el financiamiento de USD$1BUSD de la construcción del Proyecto Hidroeléctrico Ituango en Medellín, Colombia. Financiamiento proporcionado por la CII, el BID y el Fondo de Cofinanciamiento de China para América Latina y el Caribe. Este proyecto fue nominado para los "Premios de Financiamiento de Proyectos e Infraestructura" de LatinFinance 2019.

Asesoró a KGHM en la renegociación de su crédito para el Proyecto Sierra Gorda en Chile.

Asesoró a un grupo de inversionistas liderados por Advent International Corporation en la adquisición de aproximadamente el 22% de las acciones de Oleoducto Central S.A., Ocensa es la operadora del oleoducto más grande para el transporte de petróleo en Colombia.
